Material: Orac Decor and NMC Copley uplighter cornice coving and indirect lighting mouldings are made from toughened polyurethane to will not crack and chip as plaster, but when installed are indistinguishable from plaster. Finishing can be with glass paper and decorators caulking if necessary and paint as desired.
Clean: House Martin polyurethane indirect lighting coving is ideal for refurbishment and new build projects. Plaster coving and cornice is messy to install. Refurbishments using plaster coving and cornice can problematic, damaging the existing infrastructure.
Easy to install: House Martin Orac Decor and NMC Copley indirect lighting coving and cornice, due to its lightweight, only requires adhesive to install. There is no need to support with pinning as with plaster coving and cornice. Plaster coving and cornice normally requires two people to install due to its weight, whereas installation of House Martin indirect lighting coving and cornice can be installed by just one person.
Time saving: House Martin Orac Decor and NMC Copley indirect lighting coving and cornice can be installed much faster and easier. Installing plaster coving and cornice is a difficult job taking more time and needing special skills.
Fast finishing: House Martin indirect lighting coving and cornice is pre-primed ready for the chosen final coat of paint. Our indirect lighting coving and cornice has a smooth surface and does not absorb paint, only the final coat is required. Plaster coving and cornice does not come primed and requires sealing with up to three coats of paint. Plaster coving and cornice is difficult to paint well as it does not have a smooth surface.
Strong & shock resistant: House Martin Orac Decor and NMC Copley indirect lighting coving and cornice is tough, hard and difficult to break. Plaster coving and cornice is easily broken, chipped and shattered. Relevant to both delivery and installation.
Developing cracks: Using our formulated adhesives House Martin Orac Decor and NMC Copley indirect lighting coving and cornice joints fuse to produce strong joints. Plaster coving and cornice joints move through drying and ageing resulting in cracks in the coving and cornice lengths and joints.
Suitable in humid environments: House Martin Orac Decor and NMC Copley indirect lighting coving and cornice is impervious to moisture. Plaster coving and cornice can take in moisture and so is not suitable for humid and exterior environments.
"Flexi" Coving for curved walls: House Martin Rigid and Flexible coving and cornice can be used together providing an excellent solution for rooms with a window bay or curved wall. Plaster coving and cornice requires an onsite expert for installation of coving and cornice on curved walls and bays.
