Ceiling Roses and Ceiling Medallions were originally designed as both decorative and functional plaster sections, used above candleabra. Larger ceiling roses had raised centres, with gradual sloping to the outer rim. This was designed to disperse smoke and gases away from the centre of the room.
Today the use of ceiling roses as a purely decorative exercise. In all probability any room featuring these designs will surely be complemented by coving, and panel mouldings to offer a complete period effect.
Look at the choices below and choose something which suits the mood you are creating. Alternatively consider our diffused lighting range of indirect and uplighting.
These quality polyurethane ceiling roses have been developed to be indistinguishable from plaster ceiling roses once installed, yet have superior properties. These ceiling roses will not crack and crumble over time, are lightweight so are easy to install, only requiring adhesive, and their smooth primed surface is easy to paint. Heavy awkward plaster ceiling roses are truly a thing of the past.

Recommendations - We have a large range of decorative ceiling roses to suit most interior designs. When selecting generally choose a ceiling rose that has a similar diameter to that of your light fitting. Drill a hole with a standard wood bit to feed through the electrical cabling and ensure the light fitting is supported by a mechanical fixing such as a suitable screw into a ceiling beam, not the ceiling rose. When installing your ceiling rose always use our adhesives for the best results. Most ceiling roses are in stock and can be supplied on a next working day service.
Adhesives & Tools - the range of Orac adhesives, fillers and tools can be found on the Adhesives & Tools page.
