Exteriors - Corbel, Dentil, or Modillion?

It may be that you know what you want, but don't know what it's called. Typically a dentil was originally a square block or projection decorating a cornice. Victorian homes in particular featured a wide range of decorative wooden blocks, which adorned the underside of a plain soffit.

Some refer to dentils as corbels, these are more often load bearing brick or stone structures at the end of an elevation. In addition where these brackets are often located in pairs they are sometimes called modillions. Whatever you want to call them we can offer a low maintenance alternative. Choose from our best selling polyurethane designs (pre-finished in white) or our GRP alternatives available in a choice of colours.

Colours & Finish - all Dentils with either an HM or MS prefix have a "finished" surface, and do not require painting. The standard colour is white, although we can offer alternatives if required (please ask for details).
