Exteriors - Bay Canopies
House Martin offer four basic
"Bay Canopy" designs. The same designs are sometimes selected for use above doorways. Each bay canopy style is also offered in three projections (sometimes
referred to as "depths"). Further versatility is afforded by our adjustable moulds which allow designs to be constructed up to a maximum overall width of 5800mm.
We are happy to discuss your requirements, but remember the canopy will only perform satisfactorily if the soffit has a suitable overhang both at the wall and around any window frames. Typically a 3000mm brick work opening (for example) will actually require a 3400mm overall width canopy. Canopies with insufficient width during rainfall can create an incessant drumming on the cill below, so check when ordering.
Bay Canopy projections (depths) are 560mm, 685mm, and 835mm regardless of the style chosen. Please check our drawings to ensure that there is sufficient height above your frames to allow for the canopy and flash band (this is particularly relevant on bungalows, or installations below first floor windows.
Our standard finish is lead grey to the roof, with a white fascia and soffit. Please advise us of the site address if you require a quotation as we prefer to deliver these items on our transport to avoid any transit damage. Prices quoted exclude carriage).
